LinkedIn Integration — Privacy Policy Addendum
LinkedIn Integration
Overview
Averi offers an optional integration with LinkedIn that allows you to publish content directly to your LinkedIn profile or LinkedIn Company Page from within the Averi platform. This integration uses LinkedIn's official APIs and requires you to explicitly authorize the connection between your Averi account and your LinkedIn account.
Information We Collect
When you connect your LinkedIn account to Averi, we collect and process the following information:
Authentication credentials: OAuth 2.0 access tokens and refresh tokens issued by LinkedIn, which allow Averi to act on your behalf when publishing content. We do not collect or store your LinkedIn password.
Basic profile information: Your LinkedIn member identifier (URN), name, and email address, as provided through LinkedIn's OpenID Connect authentication. This information is used solely to identify your account and enable content publishing.
Organization information: If you authorize Averi to publish to a LinkedIn Company Page, we collect the organization identifier (URN) associated with pages you administer. This is used solely to direct published content to the correct page.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected through the LinkedIn integration exclusively for the following purposes:
Content publishing: To publish content that you have reviewed, approved, and explicitly chosen to share to your LinkedIn profile or Company Page.
Authentication: To verify your identity and maintain your authorized connection to LinkedIn.
Content management: To display the status of content you have published through Averi (e.g., confirmation that a post was successfully published).
We do not use your LinkedIn data for advertising, analytics profiling, lead generation, or any purpose other than enabling you to publish content you have created and approved within Averi.
Third-Party Service Providers
Our LinkedIn integration uses Nango, a third-party OAuth token management service, to securely handle the authentication flow and store your LinkedIn access credentials. Nango acts as a data processor on our behalf and is contractually bound to process your data only as necessary to provide the integration service.
For more information about Nango's data practices, please visit nango.dev/privacy.
Data Sharing
Content is transmitted to LinkedIn only when you explicitly initiate a publish action within Averi. We never publish content to your LinkedIn account without your direct, affirmative action.
We do not share your LinkedIn profile information, authentication credentials, or any data obtained through the LinkedIn API with any third parties, except as described in the "Third-Party Service Providers" section above.
We do not sell, license, or otherwise commercialize any data obtained through the LinkedIn integration.
Data Storage and Retention
Authentication tokens are stored securely by Nango and retained only for as long as your LinkedIn account remains connected to Averi.
Profile information (name, email, member URN) is retained in your Averi account for as long as your LinkedIn integration remains active.
When you disconnect your LinkedIn account from Averi, we revoke the associated access tokens and delete your LinkedIn profile information within 30 days.
Your Rights and Controls
You may at any time:
Disconnect your LinkedIn account from Averi through your account settings. This immediately revokes Averi's ability to publish on your behalf.
Review and edit content before it is published to LinkedIn. Averi always displays content for your review and requires your explicit approval before publishing.
Revoke access directly through LinkedIn by visiting your LinkedIn Settings > Data privacy > Third-party applications, and removing Averi from your authorized applications.
Request deletion of all LinkedIn-related data we hold about you by contacting us at [support email].
LinkedIn's Terms and Policies
Your use of the LinkedIn integration is also subject to LinkedIn's own terms and policies:
We encourage you to review these policies to understand how LinkedIn collects, uses, and shares your data.
Content Responsibility
Content published to LinkedIn through Averi is your content. You are responsible for ensuring that any content you publish complies with LinkedIn's Professional Community Policies and applicable laws. Averi provides tools to help you create and refine content, but the decision to publish is always yours.
Pre-Generated Content Disclosure
Averi may suggest or generate draft content for your review. Any pre-generated content presented to you for potential publication to LinkedIn is clearly identified as a draft, is subject to this privacy policy, and is fully editable by you before publication. We will never publish pre-generated content to your LinkedIn account without your explicit review and approval.
Changes to This Section
If we make material changes to how we handle data collected through the LinkedIn integration, we will notify you via email or through a prominent notice within the Averi platform prior to the changes taking effect.
