Build a Customer Case Study
Phase 1: Identify & Prepare Your Case Study (20 min)
Step 1: Open Averi AI and ask: "Help me select the best customer for a case study. I'm considering: [list 2-3 customers]. Criteria: impressive results, willing to participate, relevant to target audience."
Step 2: Work with Averi to define:
Which customer story will resonate most with prospects
The specific results/metrics that matter to your audience
The narrative arc (challenge → solution → transformation)
Key stakeholders to interview
Step 3: Ask Averi: "Create an interview guide for this case study. Include questions about: their situation before, why they chose us, implementation experience, specific results, and unexpected benefits."
Phase 2: Conduct Interview & Gather Assets (1 hour)
Step 4: Schedule 30-45 min interview with customer → Record the conversation (with permission)
Step 5: After interview, ask Averi: "Here are my interview notes: [paste notes or key quotes]. Extract the most compelling quotes, metrics, and story elements."
Step 6: Gather supporting materials: before/after data, screenshots, metrics dashboards, project timeline
Step 7: Ask Averi: "Based on these interview insights and data, outline a compelling case study structure with: attention-grabbing headline, executive summary, challenge section, solution section, results section, and customer quote callouts."
Phase 3: Write & Design the Case Study (1.5 hours)
Step 8: Open Create Mode → Ask Averi: "Write a customer case study for [Company Name]. Structure: Executive Summary, The Challenge, The Solution, The Results, What's Next. Make it story-driven, not just a features list. Include 3-4 powerful customer quotes. Add TL;DR at the top."
Step 9: Review the draft → Ask Averi: "Make the results section more specific and quantifiable. Add a pull quote highlighting the biggest transformation."
Step 10: Ask Averi: "Create supporting assets: 1) One-page PDF version, 2) Social media announcement post, 3) Email to send to prospects with similar challenges, 4) Sales battle card highlighting key points."
Step 11: Ask Averi: "Generate the JSON for a case study landing page with: hero section with key metric, customer logo, problem/solution/results sections, full quote testimonials, and CTA for similar companies."
Step 12: Save all assets to a Library Folder called "Case Study - [Customer Name]"
Phase 4: Get Expert Review & Customer Approval (30 min)
Step 13: Type /intro → Request: "Match me with a content strategist experienced in B2B case studies."
Step 14: Activate strategist → Share your case study draft and all supporting materials
Step 15: Message: "Review this case study. Is the story compelling? Are the results believable and impressive? Does it address common objections? What's missing?"
Step 16: Implement feedback and polish the case study
Step 17: Send draft to customer for approval → Message: "We've captured your story. Please review for accuracy and approve any quotes. Any metrics we should adjust or highlight?"
Step 18: Make any customer-requested revisions → Get final sign-off
Phase 5: Design, Publish & Activate Sales (1 hour)
Step 19: Type /intro → Request: "Match me with a designer for case study layout and a web developer for landing page."
Step 20: Activate designer → Share case study content and brand guidelines → Brief: "Create a visually compelling 2-3 page PDF with data visualizations, quote callouts, and customer logo."
Step 21: Activate web developer → Share landing page JSON and designed PDF → Brief: "Build the case study landing page with gated PDF download."
Step 22: Ask Averi: "Create a sales enablement package for this case study including: when to use it in the sales process, objections it addresses, and talk track for introducing it."
Step 23: Save sales enablement materials to Asset Management
Phase 6: Distribute & Maximize Impact (Ongoing)
Step 24: Publish case study to website → Add to sales collateral library
Step 25: Ask Averi: "Create a multi-channel promotion plan for this case study: LinkedIn post announcing it, email to customers in similar industries, outreach sequence for prospects with similar challenges."
Step 26: Type /intro → Request: "Match me with a social media manager."
Step 27: Activate social manager → Brief: "Promote this case study across channels. Create a 2-week content series pulling out key insights and quotes."
Step 28: Week 2: Brief sales team on the new case study → When to use it, which prospects to share it with
Step 29: Monthly: Ask Averi: "Analyze case study performance. How many downloads? Which prospects engaged with it? What sales conversations did it support? Should we create follow-up content?"
Step 30: Quarterly: Ask Averi: "Review all our case studies. What industries/use cases are we missing? Which customer should we approach next?"
